How do you manage to equate it to a pyramid scheme?... A Ponzi (pyramid) scheme only works as long as there are ever more people coming into it to keep paying off people before them...

Perhaps Hrvoje sees a similar self-delusion (at the kindest) of politicians and PHB's that outsourcing does now and will continue /indefinitely/ to provide a better and less expensive solution - thus justifying cutting out all costs of maintaining any internal capability.
