ANN: MySQL Data Access Components 2.00 released

Core Lab company has recently announced the release of new 2.00 version of
MySQL Data Access Components. MyDAC provides direct high performance access
to MySQL database and is an alternative to a standard way of accessing
databases using Borland Database Engine (BDE) or dbExpress.

MyDAC 2.00 provides an unique abilities to work with MySQL server
without client library and access to MySQL Embedded Server.
Working without client library is possible by using native MySQL protocol
and requires only TCP/IP protocol at the workstation side.
Using this feature you are able to build really thin client applications.

New MySQL Server versions 4.1, 4.0 support and all available data
types support were added to MyDAC 2.00 version.
MyDAC 2.00 has BDE migration wizard that serves to simplify
conversion of already existent projects.

MyDAC has advanced design-time editors, MySQLBuilder Add-in to extend
design-time capabilities by set of tools to build and check queries,
extended SQL tracing capabilities provided by TMySQLMonitor component
and DBMonitor application.

New components, such as TMyDump to store a database or its parts as a
script,
TMyBackup for backup coping specified tables on the server, TMyServerControl
to manage the server and standard service tasks execution, and TMyLoader
for fast loading data to the server were added to MyDAC new version.

MyDAC is compatible with both Windows and Linux, and supports Delphi,
C++ Builder and Kylix.

MyDAC is licensed per a developer and can be distributed without
royalty fee only in compiled executable programs.
