What Borland includes in Delphi Ent. would only match (feature wise) what
you get buying DA+RO. So the comparison you're making is not correct, price
and feature wise
That also without considering the time you're supposed to save using our
products vs
others'. Until now, we only offered individual licenses or the Enterprise
package
(599$). From now on you can decide to buy only RO+DA and that would cost you
less than before. So we're giving more options than before and at a cheaper
rate.
The correct way to look at it in my opinion is a guaranteed locked price for
a lot of tools and a way to save money for those committed to our
technologies.

It surely might be for some, but for those that want to save in the long run
there's a better option now.
You have a choice: less now and more during the course of the year or more
now but you're done with it.

We always considered invididual cases. People in need of special deals can
send an email to sales@remobjects.com and we'll consider it. We also offered
free licenses in some cases (a couple of east-european Universities come to
mind).

No, the Enterprise bundle was a much more limited option than a subscription
and targeted only the products included and that version(s) only. For
example, if we came out with RO 3.0 Win32 tomorrow, you wouldn't be entitled
to it. Same if we released RO 3.0 for .Net or Wolpertinger. You'd have to
upgrade.
Existing customers (namely whoever has bought the Enterprise version before
EOY 2003) qualify for extra discounts (see price table) and we might
consider new ideas if you drop an email to sales@remobjects.com
During the course of the year we *might* introduce upgrading paths from
products targetting different platforms but the one sure thing is that,
overall, buying everything we sell is always going to be cheaper via the
Subscription.

I guess you are asking about the Subscription pricing, not the Enterprise
one since that doesn't exist.
It's very easy to say. The price is *guaranteed* to be lower and locked. So
you won't see us lowering the perspective prices in that page. They can only
stay the same or increase. The Subscription is instead locked. If tomorrow
(I am just making an example here, don't take this as an inidication of
what's about to happen <G>) we decide Wolpertinger should cost 4000$, your
Subscription bought now will still include at no additional cost.

You're most welcome!

Thanks
