The latest version 1.94 of PE Explorer is now available!
PE Explorer is a multi-purpose PE (portable executable) file editor
and troubleshooting tool for Windows developers. It tells you just
about every little detail you could possibly want to know about a
PE file (exe, dll, ActiveX, and several other executable formats).
PE Explorer comes with a Visual Resource Editor, PE Header Viewer,
Exported/Imported API Function Viewer, API Function Syntax Lookup,
Dependency Scanner and Easy Disassembler.
It also allows you to edit the properties of any controls on Delphi forms
within the PE file. Because PE Explorer has itself been written using
Delphi, there's a very strong emphasis on peeking inside Delphi/Builder
applications and packages.
Here's what's new and noteworthy:
Resource editor:
+ Now supports editing Accelerators.
(check out www.restuner.com for Resource Tuner)
Disassembler:
+ Now supports the SSE2 instruction set.
General:
+ Now supports opening files with modified MS-DOS stubs.
+ Now saves charset settings when customizing font.
UPX Unpacker plug-in:
+ Added support for NRV2E_LE32 compression method. Now all versions
of UPX are supported from 0.8x up to 1.90.
+ Now supports unpacking files with modified UPX headers.
