I just spent $300.00 for JvActiveSoft's JFControls. After waiting the 24
hours for a email with passwords, I download the registered version to find
out it has some proprietary installation wizard thing.
As a result, everything will install but the actual VCL controls
themselves... The installer is in the right folder, the docs, etc..
Everything but the units to install into D7.
I call the number on their site (Spain I think) and no one seems to speak
English so I just had to basically hang up.
Big bummer, I worked late last night to get some things done with their
trial controls anticipating a password and productive morning. Wrong.
Now I am sitting on my hands waiting for a product support email. Maybe
today, maybe Monday, who knows... BS though in my opinion. The process
should be immediate. Type in your CC #, make the purchase then download and
install working controls. None of this, give us your money, three days
later when we get the time we will correct our mistake so that you can get
back to work.
Never a second chance to make a first impression ActiveSoft. Something so
simple as distributing a working copy of your controls when the customer has
paid is not asking too much. It is far from rocket science.
