Components4Developers would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year by
announcing the availability of kbmMW v.2.00 Gold 1 release which is immediately downloadable
from our site at www.components4developers.com.
The file is password protected, and all people who have obtained kbmMW v. 1.xx licenses starting
Oct 1. 2003 until today, and all people who have preordered have been sent their password.
Of new major features I can mention:
- Super fast extendable XML transport streaming support.
- Advanced publish/subscribe functionality with full support for subject hierachies and wildcards.
- New common API for datastore metadata handling (currently tables, indexes and sequences/generators).
- New sequence components which eases obtaining unique numbers, optionally datastore based.
- New DBISAM v4.01 database adapter.
- Full Unicode support from database to client with lots of posibilities for automatically
convert unicode to/from UTF8 in non Unicode capable databases.
- Support for Synapse TCPIP and UDP transport library.
- New enhanced service wizard with support for plugging in custom service extensions. (kbmMW
bundles service extensions for Java service, Query service and File service).
Further lots of optimizations, internal restructuring, fixes and loads of other changes has been made.
kbmMW v.2.00 servers will be backwards compatible with kbmMW v. 1.xx clients.
