Support Issues
===============
In recent months we have been overwhelmed with Spam and have had to
implement EMail filters to remove the worst of this. This can mean,
sometimes, that legitimate EMail can be removed from our inboxes. The
filtered mail is checked, but it can be difficult to spot legitimate queries
amongst the junk. This works both ways. On a number of occasions we have had
to resort to faxing responses to users because our mails are bounced by
their servers.
Spam is a growing problem and we are intending to change the way we handle
support and enquiries in the new year. This will most likely be through new
response request forms on our web site and better back-end handling of
requests.
For registered users we are planning to open access to our outstanding
issues database through the upcoming, web enabled, version of Tracker. This
will allow registered users track the progress of any outstanding issues
they have reported, and to see whether there are any current workarounds.
Future Development
===================
QSC are committed to the ongoing development of Team Coherence. We are
currently working on finishing off the Web front-end for TC Tracker and hope
to have this available by the end of January 2004.
We have been reviewing the list of outstanding issues and requests we have,
and have already started a major rewrite of the Team Coherence client
modules. The emphasis will be on increased ease of use and, especially,
performance. Over the last year, we have had some excellent feedback from
our users and hope to implement as much of this functionality as we can.
Additional emphasis will be placed on opening up the API even further, and
adding improved and new integration with a number of tools. Inevitably this
will take some time, but we hope to have a Beta available during Q1 2004.
