I have a problem understanding how to properly implement the open/close
effects on DCHeaderPanel. If have roughly worked out how to make it open and
close but I cannot get it to properly emulate Outlook with regard to the
Push Pin.

I can close it. Then when I open it, it brings up the push pin button as it
should. Then, if the next click is not on the push bin button, it should
close again.

There appear to be some Boolean type flag variables but they are not
documented. Can anyone explain the sequence of events when the push pin
button is shown?
