I think NexusDB is based on FlashFiler, which is now open source (see
sourceforge).

However, NexusDB seems to have improved alot on top of that. So it would imo
be better to buy NexusDB then, esp. now they have a summer sale.

If you can't pay for it then you can also first use FlashFiler and migrate
to NexusDB when you have the money. Just an idea..
