This assumption is wrong. The people at NexusDB did a completely new
product. They first intended to market a FF3 as they (not TP) had already
done most of the stuff. This FF3 code should be a donation to TP in the
first place. Then TP vanished and they did not get a permission from TP to
use former FF code in their own product when they decided to roll out their
own database. So while NexusDB does have some familarities with FF regarding
some concepts and behaviour it is still a new thing. These common ideas are
not a coincidence as Thorsten Engler, the architect behind NexusDB, did the
layout for many of FF2's features.
