When you say component and if you mean VCL (V for Visual), I'd say
it is a little too early to consider using FPC/Lazarus fo rcommercial
purposes.
But, if you meant non-visual ones, object libraries etc. I think
there is every reason to consider FPC.
Actually, as things stand right now, I believe every commercial
thing that is a server of some sort written in Delphi should be
FPC compilable.
That would be the best of both worlds, AFAIC.
