Email Component

My program send things via email. I have some customers that use
outlook, and some that don't. I don't really want to write an all MAPI
based thing and I can't use smtp/pop stuff to do it that way because
they complain they can't see the sent mails in their outlook. Is there
a component that can handle all the emailing aspects of a program and
figure out if they use outlook or some mapi client and put stuff where
it needs to be for that or if they use internet mail and put stuff where
it needs to be for that etc. Just a smart email component that i can
just call to send mails.

I hope this makes sense because i'm not sure how to describe it, but i'm
sure many others have run into this.
