I'm having great success with TGifImage from Anders Melander with two
obscure exceptions.
1) It appears that a fairly healthy portion of my sample of GIF's off the
web, sets the transparent flag in the header inappropriately. As a result
the images get speckles of background that they shouldn't have. Is there any
additional check - such as on transparent index that should be made before
believing the flag??????????
2) Most anaimated (and transparent animated images) display correctly.
However, some animated gif's save file size by only providing the protion of
the gif that is changed in each frame with the assumption that they will
overlay the existing image. What I get when i display these is just the
individual frames. So that the you do not see the whole image. Sometimes the
effect is amusing and some times it is just plain stupid.
Files available on request to demonstrate.
Suggestions please?????
Regards,
Al
