I'm looking for a report tools that have the following feature :
* Can create report attached to database(s) one or more
* Support variables inside the Report
* Can generate report dynamicly (not absolutly necessary at all)
* Can have report with Sub Report
* Can write SQL command inside the Report to interrogate data
* Can support native access and/or ODBC database (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL
server primary)
* Can be populate on events or with code (for special purpose like
using it with propriatary database)
* Can be used inside a web browser (with interaction if necessary for
example : I can enter two dates, or any parameter in the web browser
before asking the report).
* Having an interface (preferaly VCL but ActiveX is well too) to can
integrate same Report in application and web too
* Can export result in many format (PDF, XLS, CVS, etc ...)
* Having a nice designer that enable an easy construction of report
(with Query Builder for example and Link manager)
>From now I used : Impromptu from Cognos, who have the limitation that
is available only in user interactive mode. A great tools but ... very
expensive too.
I have look previously with an old version of Crystal Report (having no
look back to it from more than 4 years now).
I'm really appreciate your help at advance.
Thanks you all for your feedback,
Alain
