I cannot compare paxScript with another scripting engines as I'm paxScript
author, and I cannot tell about the projects of my customers without a
permission.
But you can try some test scripts located in the \Benchmarks folder of the
paxIDE package (paxide.zip) regarding the speed. In my opinion, paxScript is
quite fast regarding the speed of calling imported (host-defined) and
script-defined routines. As for the easy of use, I would like to note that
paxScript importer allows you to create imp units (it seems the Dream
Scripter allows to do the same). I guess your case (the importing graphic
library) will require extra efforts: for example paxSxcript does not support
pointer types. However there are paxScript tools to integrate your library
with paxScript without seams: fake methods, paxScript RTTI etc.
