Gnostice announces the upcoming release of Gnostice eDocEngine VCL v2.0

Gnostice Information Technologies is proud to announce the upcoming release of
Gnostice eDocEngine VCL Version 2.0. eDocEngine VCL Version 2.0 introduces many
new features which we have been working on for some time now. eDocEngine VCL
Version 2.0 also includes many document generation optimizations and performance
enhancements to give the smallest files in the shortest time. It also includes
many usability enhancements over version 1.x. Availability and upgrade pricing
will be announced in the next few days.

Following is a partial list of new features in version 2.0:
All formats:
* Enhanced built-in run-time setup dialogs.
* Email options now included in setup dialog.
* Table drawing allows greater customization through enhanced OnCellDraw event.
* Table drawing now supports word wrapping for titles.
* Automatic pagination for single line text and paragraphs.
* Variables / Place holders for text drawing and watermarks. Built-in variables
include Page#, Total Pages, Date and Time.
* Full Unicode support for text rendering in PDF, RTF and HTML.
* Automatic activation of Email and file:// links contained in text.
* RichText rendering as a standard procedure (DrawRichText).
* Document rendering can now be aborted before completion.
* More events added for greater control over creation process.
* Resolution support for rendering metafiles and object.
PDF:
* Support for new action types: GoToR, Launch, Named, JavaScript.
* Support for new annotation types: FreeText, Line, Square, Circle, Highlight,
Underline, Squiggly, Strikeout, Stamp, Ink.
* Set and associate actions with annotations, bookmarks and document and page
events.
* File Attachment: Attach / Embed external files of any type into PDF.
* Support for vertical text rendering.
* Unicode support for text rendering, stamping, annotations, bookmarks and
document information.
* Support for inserting large JPEG images.
* Font subset embedding and encoding documents with Unicode characters
optimized. File sizes nearly a 10th of earlier files.
* Support for inserting custom document information in XMP format.
Excel:
* Highly improved rendering with support for text alignment.
* New properties ApplyAlignment and MultiPass to control speed and quality.
* Text word wrap support.
Export Interfaces - ReportBuilder:
* Completely re-written to export more efficiently, accurately and keep the
output file size to a minimum.
* Included support for WPRichText.
* Optimized image rendering.
* New events OnEncodeGraphic and OnEncodeGraphicDone assist to further reduce
file sizes.
