IE Version and development quiries

Hello All;

  I need to find out some information please all.

If I develop a program (WebBrowser Project) That is built under IE6
Can it be deployed under previous versions of IE?
Or will it only install under a system running IE6?

This is very important information as a project that I am fixing to start on
I need it to have the ability to be installed on version IE5.5 as well as
IE6 and above.
Without being limited to only users running IE6 and those selected other's
having to
Choose to upgrade in order to use the program.
