non data ware grid?

I've got my TDrawGrid painting every other row a different color. The
problem is figuring out which row to highlight based on the user
clicking. How do i know the row they clicked off of so i can repaint
that row and when i know that, how do i force that row to repaint?

I'm sure im reinventing the wheel here. What i want is a non dataset
based grid the allows for alternate row color, editing of columns, and
right justification of columns.

Anybody recommend one for me?

It has to work in BCB6 too.
