while the base of NexusDB is certainly table orientated, take a look at
the new V2 SQL implementation:

We're trying to give the developer whatever he prefers: SQL or table
access. Each of them should be used correctly, if you do so you've a
very powerful tool in hand that easily outperforms almost all
competitors.
