Looking for a way to automate logging into Win2000 via the IE

This is how it works through the browser:

1. Open IE and enter the web address.
2. Then I enter my user name and password.
3. Click the button that says login
4. Then another Explorer Window opens with a Windows 2000 login screen.
5. I reenter the password and I'm in the server.

I would like to automate 4 and 5 without the window or login banner showing.
