Re: Fax-modem for USA telephone lines

Vladimir,

Can anyone recommend a fax-modem model working well in USA?

I use Delphi 7 and TApdSendFax for sending faxes
Have tried US Robotics Sportster 33.6K external serial modem. It worked more or less reliably but couldn't communicate with some fax machines.
And I also have tried US Robotics 56K USB modem. This one could send faxes to one of the fax machines that the 33.6K modem could not, but it was not working reliably on quite few numbers around ("Fatal time out" error message)

You may have already read the tech tips from this site: http://www.turbocontrol.com/TechTips/default.htm

Here are two that deal a little with selecting fax modems:

Hopefully someone will share more specific information.
