AsyncPro 4.06 COM Port Problem

SO I'm trying to get two PCs to talk to each other over a com port, using AsyncPro 4.06. I've yused these components in other apps with no problems, but never in a PC<->PC manner. I can't for the life of me get it to work, and I'm running out of reasons why it might not be. I've got a null modem cable, have verified that the ports are setup the same, but still, no data comes across. Can anyone think of something I might be missing?
