GigaSoft ProEssentials - Value for Money?

Hi,
I'm looking for a "scientific" plotting component or component suite for D7/Win32. The ProEssentials collection of components from GigaSoft seems to do what I want:
1. 1D graphs with linear and log scales. 2. Polar plots. 3. 2D surfaces and contours. 4. Legends, drill down, etc.
Google turns up no-end of components that provide some form of plotting, but the quality and range of options are quite variable.
Is there a short-list of "best" plotters that you know of?
Commercial solutions are fine and I don't mind paying for quality software. The GigaSoft product is obviously very feature-rich, although my initial impression is that the components are about to burst because so much functionality has been shoe-horned into them.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
