Algorithms for attendance processing

Hi there guys,

I am currently doing attendance part of HR system...and kinda stuck
with attendance handling.

Basically i need to be able to translate raw attendance entries which comes
from fingerprint scanner devices into records for Daily, InOut and Overtime
attendance.

If anyone got any articles or algorithms on the subject - please email me.
