JSNewsreader Beta Preview

The latest preview beta of JSNewsreader is available online at
<http://0054a77.netsolhost.com/JSN_Preview2.zip> . Comments, bug reports are
wanted. JSNewsreader is a newsreader build with Delphi, Indy and NexusDB. It
sports several unique features that make it worth looking at, such as a
Newsgroup Inbox, colorized senders, pairplonking, a multithreaded architecture
that greatly enhances downloads, etc.

Notes:
None of the help menu items have been implemented yet.
JSN automatically imports news accounts found in the registry, but may miss
those that are not stored in the expected location in the registry. This
location is used by Outlook Express, but is not guaranteed to be the same for
other newsreaders. If JSN imports an account from the registry, the user name
and/or password almost certainly were not imported. You will need to manually
enter these for affected accounts.
I haven't had a chance to test this newsreader against a news server that uses
SSL myself, and it is not distributed with any of the SSL dll's. However, it
was written with Indy, which I understand does support SSL.
This is time-limited software that runs out at the end of November.
This software has EurekaLog enabled, so if there is an AV or the program hangs,
Eurekalog will bring up a dialog about the error. There will be a checkbox on
the lower left-hand side of the dialog that asks you if you want to send the
error by the internet. If you leave this checked and click OK the program will
ask you to describe what you were doing when the error occurred, then open up
your default email client and create an email that has error information in it.
If you send that email, I'll get useful error information via email. Please
take advantage of this when errors occur! As always, I would love feedback and
suggestions in addition to bug reports. Thanks in advance! Known Issues:
After a large number of messages have been downloaded (roughly 100,000 or so),
you may get "key violation errors" when downloading headers. This is due to the
use of 32-bit CRC values as hash values and is going to be fixed as soon as I
can. Downloading lots of binaries in 3 or more threads will probably result in
large or maxed out CPU cycles. This will be addressed soon as well.
