What is an advantage to use the 3rd party with same functionality?
I can speak for Dev Ex ExpressBars, not all, but:
1) Better design time tools;
2) Better UI for the end users;
3) Ability to change look and feel
4) better support for new look & feel and implementation (the one I really
like is the ability to not close a menu system when a user checks a menu
item, allowing them to configure an control much easier).
5) Features that make coding much easier (eg MRU lists, chaging image sizes,
in-menu combo boxes)
6) end user configurablity (similar to what Word allows) with no coding
(besides persisting settings).
....
Or I really
missed something useful? :-)
I think a good GUI makes a good application better--at least in my market.
ExpressBars is a wonderful tool for achieving that end.
