Thanks for the clarification. There seem to be strange things going on in the IDE. I activate a project configuration, save all and close the project. Then I re-open the project. So the *exact* same settings should be in there. The editor icon of the project file shows no changes have ocurred - fine. Then I press Alt+P or click on the project menu and close it again (without doing anything else) and then suddenly the editor icon changes indicating that the project file needs to be saved (just from opening and closing the project menu) - and thus DDevExtensions probably cannot find an *exact* match, so no menu entry is highlighted. Strange.
I get the exact same behaviour, sometimes merely opening the project will change some things, but WinMerge can't find them...
