Thanks Ed for the recommendation. I should have mentioned that I'm already
fully committed to using FR4 right now and not ready to take on another full
featured reporting tool. Just interesed in labels and envelopes. But I do
have a question. I went on the Digital Metaphors site and looked for info on
labels and envelopes. I know that Report Builder will let an end user create
ad hoc reports but where is there information related to my current need? I
couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Keith

I would highly recommend ReportBuilder. Lots of flexibilty. Been around a
long time--and I've never had to re-write my reports. Been using it since
version 2.
You could easily use a TppJITPipeline, not needing to mess with an in-memory
dataset.

I'm wondering if there's a good 3rd party tool out there for D7 that I can
incorporate into my app that would allow users to create and print mailing
labels and also print envelopes similar to the labels and envelopes
feature
in MS Word. I'd like it to have some of the more commonly used label and
envelope formats built in (like Avery for example) and allow the user to
somehow store what he's created for future use. I'd also like to be able
to
allow the user to choose from certain database fields (say from a backend
view or a text file).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Keith
