My recommendation is that you work out your own code to handle
licenses/install codes, but buy a protection tool to stop hackers seeing
the code you wrote. Don't worry too much about how strong it is, it will
keep honest people honest - the crackers will crack it anyway. By not
linking the install codes to the protection, you can change the protection
any time you want without having to worry about compatibility for past
buyers. You could therefore buy three protection schemes, and "rotate"
them in releases and thus thwart some aspects of an unprotector since
people will find the unprotector doesn't work.
