Re: Single file DB with smallest footprint

MS Access is not small footprint but it is installed on alsmost all computers, so you will not need to deploy anything.

1, Be beware that in mid-range/long term Access will be deprected because MS only want to support one DB - MS SQL-Server.

2, On Embedded-Windows the vendor of the System can configure Windows (XP) that not JET is installed. And you can't install the JET-Engine without installing Access!

3, Good Luck with the DLL-Hell (Which SP of JET/MDAC must be installed to get the app run?)
