ANN: New ROadmap available from RemObjects Software

RemObjects Software is pleased to announce that we have published a
major update to our ROadmap: see www.remobjects.com?roadmap.

Those of you familiar with our Roadmap will find that the presentation
and information supplied has changed a great deal. In addition to the
dates scheduled for the next 12 months of releases (for which we now
have a 1.5 year history of matching every single time), we've started
to provide more technical information about the features planned for
upcoming interim builds, as well as the directions we're researching
for major new versions such as Data Abstract Six.

Of course, as you'll appreciate, there's always a fine line between
providing all the information we want to our customers and revealing
too much to the competition, so information isn’t as detailed for our
longer term plans.

== About Data Abstract ==

Data Abstract is the premier framework for building powerful and
reliable database solutions, and an essential item in the tool chest of
every database developer. Data Abstract provides an end-to-end solution
for all aspects of implementing scalable multi-tier solutions and
provides a flexible and RAD approach to developing the data layer that
is unrivaled in the business.

The use of Schemas, a feature unique to Data Abstract, allows
developers and database administrators alike to build zero-code
middle-tier servers that provide the full flexibility of data access
needed by clients, while at the same time abstracting database
structure or even database type away from the application logic.

Please read our Whitepaper WP01: Why Data Abstract (available at
http://www.remobjects.com?wp01) for a detailed overview of why you
should
choose Data Abstract to design and implement your next database project.

More information about Data Abstract, including a detailed overview of
new features in 'Vinci' can be found at http://www.remobjects.com/da.

== About the RemObjects SDK ==

RemObjects SDK is the award-winning remoting solution for Delphi and
..NET. It allows developers to apply a RAD approach to building
distributed applications, consume web services and make their services
accessible to the world through Smart Services.

The Service Builder provides an intuitive and easy to use UI for
defining services and related types, while the Service Tester provides
the ability to stress-test your applications for scalability and
performance in high-load scenarios. Numerous channel and message types
provide flexible and reliable communication over the different network
types, from high-speed LANs to the most difficult of legacy networks.
Developers can choose to use open standards such as SOAP and XML-RPC to
make their applications talk to different platforms, or use very
efficient communication formats specific to the RemObjects SDK.

new features introduced in 'Vinci', please visit

== About Hydra ==

Hydra is a multi-platform plug-in framework which allows you to ease
into .NET and write modules in managed code for your existing Delphi
applications.

Hydra 3.0, provided in one SKU for Delphi and .NET, enables you to keep
your existing Delphi code, while opening up your applications to
managed plug-ins. This allows new development to happen in .NET, using,
for example, C# 2.0, but also .NET 1.1 development languages such as
Delphi for .NET. At the same time, the existing code can be kept and
maintained in Delphi/Win32.

Developers can elect to port and replace existing modules (and even the
host application) over time and at their own pace. They can keep
working on the project in mixed-mode, or migrate to a fully managed
solution.

For a quick guide to Hydra, see http://www.remobjects.com?HY09 and for
more information, please visit http://www.remobjects.com/hy.
