Everything can be cracked, but this should add reasonable protection:
If the hardcoded date is ok compared to the date returned by the OS, you
should also scan the harddisk for files with a timestamp in the future
compared to the OS date. If you scan windows folder, temp folder etc,
something will usually show up, if the user has been messing with the
date
settings.
As another simple thingy -- check every few minutes. Usually, users don't
want to keep their clock messed up, due to sending e-mail and so on.
