We used to use Visual SourceSafe. While it works okay, it does not support
access over the Internet out of the box, plus it works by locking files.
This, plus Delphi's horrible handling of read-only files, made it less
than optimal.

A while back we switched to Subversion and TortoiseSVN. It was easy to
setup, migration fairly painless, and it's head and tails above VSS imho.
The Explorer integration was a bit odd at first, as I was used to using
experts that integrated into IDEs, but after a while I wouldn't go back.
