As Roger indicated, the TortoiseSVN help is pretty good.

You could also look at Pragmatic Version Control book:

I found it pretty helpful, especially suggesting standards to use in Subversion (SVN). Note: most of the examples of using SVN in the book are using the SVN command-line client as it is multi-platform.
