If we would release all executables (including RTC Control and Gateway ISAPI) as a free download, like it was the case with the old RTC Remote Tools 1.6, how would that affect "Source Code / VCL" subscription sales?


It would have no effect on our decision making process because free EXE/DLL solutions (various VNC variants etc.) are already ubiquitous. The only unique selling point (as far as we are concerned) of your product is/was the source code availability.

Of cource source code availability is only valuable (to us) if one can actually *do* something with it which means that one needs RTC as well resulting in a basic price of 1000 euro (as far as I can tell - I agree with the others that your license model changes too often).

We remain registered users of Remote Tools but we won't be upgrading until you have an SKU which provides *all* the source code at a more attractive price point. We have no particular interest in 'support' since the whole point of a source code solution is that we would be making changes (and therefore probably breaking things) which would render our codebase unsupportable by you anyway.
