Re: Share*it currency exchange rates ...

But customers will probably change it to, for example, USD so they can
see
their "local price", which is then always above the normal exchange rate
due
to ShareIts &^$%&#$# pricing and conversion policy.

This is often true, but that will be their own doing. Not something a
vendor
should be concerned about. It isn't as if share*it will be charging the
vendor the extra fee for currency exchange. If a customer doesn't care
enough about his money to check its real value, it's his fault.

The problem I'm having with this, is that ShareIt simply doesn't "warn" the
purchaser of this! They simply put quite a few % on top of the product
price.

Heck, the fee they charge for this conversion is more than the normal
service fee we as vendors pay to them! Am I the only one who thinks
this is a scam?

PS. I've also learned yesterday that some buyers have configured their
share*it accounts to always use their local currency when ordering, no
matter what the link from the vendor suggests. In that case, there is
absolutely nothing a vendor can do to prevent share*it from using buyers
preffered currency.
