Hi Vad,

This may or not be useful but I've also looked at file compression
components to use as virtual file systems.. i.e. zip components & iso format
components. These essentially are "mini filesystems" within a file but
probably without much overhead or features of a "real" filesystem.

I don't have exact URL's but you can easily search for them...
