Thanks for your help guys,

Will have a look at Lazarus but I use a fair amount of 3rd party software
like Devexpress etc Under D2007 so am wondering about the compatability
issues.

I see that Dell is now offering Ubuntu (Sp?) Linux on some of their PCs.
Interesting as I guess that they are marketing on the back of many users
trying to avoid MS Windows and their registration principles.

Maybe food for thought by CodeGear - always better to get aboard the train
beofre it leaves ...
