Excuse my ignorance but had thought that one could not re-install Win XP on
a different HD or PC, especially the OEM version, because this was against
MS license and would fall foul of the MS hardware checking utility, not to
mention having to re-register?
Assume the same is true of Vista?
I run D2007 and Oracle local server on my PC and it is so slow. Would like
to upgrade the PC to a CoreDuo but have XP and Office 2007 OEM installed and
having to re-purchase them is a significant cost penalty.
If there is a workaround would dearly love to know!
Sorry, know this is OT but the MS newsgroups said that it couldn't be done.
Would rather spend the money on some new Delphi components.
