As long as you have a domain which will point to your internet router, you will be fine. You just need something that remains the same regardless of your IP address. One other service which a lot of routers support is www.DynDNS.org

You will need a Windows PC to run the RTC Gateway. The best way to use the Gateway is to install it as a Windows Service. It can be installed on any PC inside your LAN, even your development PC. When not in use, it doesn't take up any CPU, and memory requirements are minimal, so you won't really notice it is there.

3. Some of my clients are behind very aggressive firewalls
Will RTC Portal handle this and can I test this out in any way???

RTC Portal is being used by a lot of companies with very strict firewall and proxy rules. If you think your customers are *really* paranoid and block everything, you can download the RTC Host, Viewer and Gatewa executables (which are available as a free download) and try things out:
