Kevin posted, a few threads up from this post, that VCLZip 4.0 will be out
next month but did not give any pricing info. The big change appears to be
strong AES encryption (AE-2) same as PKZip and WinZip.
As for the 2 gig limit that was fixed in 3.0 here's a little qoute from his
wbsite.

Zip64 format shatters old size and number limits!

a.. File size limits raised from 2gig to 2^63-1 bytes
b.. Number of files allowed in an archive is raised from 65535 to
2147483647

I did upgrade to the Pro and it has worked great for all my needs.

I cannot comment on the upgrade possibilities... send the author an
email and see what he says! ... but he may be out of the office over
the holidays!!! <g>

I have problems zipping 2gig+ size files (duplicate object error under
CG2007). I have a several years old license and according to the
webpages now it seems that a 'Pro' license is required. Haven't checked
the upgrade possibilities as I wanted to know others' opinions on
different solutions.
