Thanks for this. I am truly taking this advice seriously.

Is there anybody out there who has specifically had problems with
WinLicense. I googled, and it would seem that at one point there were some
problems with WinLicense running on Vista when it was released, but as far
as I can tell those problems have subsequently been resolved.

Anybody have horror stories concerning WinLicense that were not
satisfactorily resolved? In the meantime, I'll look more into a simpler
public key encryption scheme...
