Re: dialog box at sign in...anyone know of a component to do this

I really wanted just to show them a popup or dialog box while they are
logged off, but I could try that.

Do you know that api to disable the shutdown button ?

If they are logged off, then you could disable the shutdown option on the
login dialog, and then they can't shut down without logging on and seeing
your message.
