May 30, 2008 — RemObjects Software is happy to announce the immediate
availability of its quarterly set of product releases, with
significant updates to RemObjects SDK, Data Abstract, AnyDAC and the
brand new release of Oxygene 3.0.
== Data Abstract and RemObjects SDK ==
The new releases introduce some significant new features for Data
Abstract and RemObjects SDK which go to making it even easier to build
powerful distributed and multi-tier projects.
* The new Message Envelope infrastructure in RemObjects SDK enables
developers to easily extend and control the way data is streamed
across the network, without worrying abut the details of the
underlying system.
* Building on that, the new AES Encryption Envelope is only the first
of many envelope implementations, and provides easily-configurable
cross-platform compatible encryption for both Delphi and .NET based
projects.
* The new JSON Message type for NET and matching JavaScript code
generation support in Service Builder now makes it easy to expose
your services to rich browser-based clients, such as AJAX- or general
JavaScript-based websites. (Delphi version following soon)
* Significant enhancements to the MemDataTable provide even better
performance and memory load for various data scenarios, while Data
Abstract’s driver for AnyDAC has been rewritten from scratch for
unsurpassed back-end data access speed.
* The new DA LINQ technology in Data Abstract for .NET shipping as an
“Experimental Preview” allows developers to leverage Language
Integrated Queries in C#, Oxygene or VB.NET to access their existing
DA data servers in more flexible and intuitive ways.
* AnyDAC introduces a new and highly efficient Interbase/Firebird
driver, out-performing all previously available options for
Interbase data access in almost all scenarios.
In addition, as always, the releases are rounded off by tens of
additional fixes and enhancements in all editions.

| Interested in taking your RO/DA application to further platforms?
|
| We’re getting ready to launch the beta program for our RemObjects
| Client SDK (RO) for Mac OS X and iPhone OS this June, as part of our
| project RO|C announced in the spring ROadmap.
|
| This is a 100% native Objective-C implementation of RO, that will
| allow you to access your existing or new RO servers from Macs but
| also iPhone and iPod touch devices.
|
| We are looking for beta testers experienced with either RO or Mac
| development (or ideally both) - if you are interested, please drop us
| a mail to sales@.
|
| Mike and I will also be attending WWDC next week, so if you are there
| too and would like to meet up for a chat (about RO/ObjC or anything
| else), just drop us a line!

== Availability ==
All May releases are available now, both as trial versions and for
licensed users. As part of our subscription model, the new products
will be accessible to all users with a active subscription - make sure
to keep your subscriptions up to date to not miss out on this or
future releases as they become available.
== Summary ==
The May releases mark the result of a great product cycle here at
RemObjects, and probably the most exciting one in the past year. We
hope you will enjoy working with these products as much as we did
creating them - and of course you can look forward to more cool
features coming in August.
