It disappoints me that so many homo-sapiens have
no compunction at all about being criminals.
It disappoints me that we have laws that citizens will not support.

Were you disappointed in the laws or the citizens?
Mainly the law. But not being a scofflaw, I would have supported it.
I did take the time to let my state governor, lt. governor, rep, and
senator, know what I thought.
... Having worked for many years in the US Congress, I'm intimately
familiar with the disconnect between federal law and the citizenry.
But in Texas? Please, God, let it not be so!
Yes, the Texas "Ledge". seems to be driven by lobbyists. On the
Standard Texas Senator's web-mail page, they ask for your
"Title" and "Business/Agency/Organization". (See
http://www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/senate/members/dist17/dist17.htm)
If you are just an ordinary citizen, they may not be as interested in your
opinion. The Texas House members used to have a similar standard
page a couple of weeks ago. But now "Business/Agency/Organization"
has been removed from the House standard web-mail form.
