Ha! I was recently called to the voir dire process to
select a jury to try a statutory rape case. Now in Texas
*nothing* else but the ages matter in order to get a 5 year
prison sentence. The age criteria was so broad that they
had to call 60 people in order to find 12 who would agree
to support the state law. It disappoints me that we have
laws that citizens will not support. --JohnH
That makes no sense. The prosecution shouldn't get to filter out
people unwilling to enforce the law!
