That's good to hear. The app I'm acquainted with was built by a supplier of
mine for visitors to their web site. Even if we use it daily, it takes 10
minutes for the app to download, and another 5 minutes to actually begin
running. It draws screens the way Windows does when it's exhausted too many
resources and you know it's about to crash. And, after logging out of the
java app, it takes close to 15 minutes to unload from memory. During this
time, the machine behaves like a 386 with 16mb of RAM. :-)
Not a good promo for java.
