Delphi 7 valuelist editor

Hi Guys!

Here we go ..(sorry if this is a crosspost)

First i want to get rid of that "blue" cell color that i get if i have a
empty value list editor(the same blue cell color that you get when you
select a cell). (only ONE cell is blue at the time the valuelist editor is
empty(most of the time it is the upper left one)
(only to get rid of it if the valuelisteditor is empty).

Second problem is that i can't prevent people from editing the key column of
my valuelisteditor.
(i have set all KeyOptions to FALSE (edit,add...)) still i can edit the
"key" column too ..
How to prevent people from editing certain columns that are filled by my
code.
(e.g. i want people to be able to edit the values corresponding to the key
but not the key itself).
