Using Delphi 5
Our system uses local dbase files occasionally via the BDE but without
using aliases.
On XP machines that have loaded service pack 2 we are experiencing
problems.
1 program can open multiple temporary dbase files but if another program
is loaded whilst the first has any dbase files open then any attempt to
access or create any dbase file fails with cannot load driver.
I have been so far unsuccessful in pinpointing the error point in
DBtables since it causes other spurious errors when debugging. This
problem ONLY occurs with XP annd SP2 the system is well tested and
widely used.
Any ideas? Heeeeelppp! and a pox on you Gates!
Nick
