D5 Assertion Failure

I have just had to re-install D5 after a crash.
Now everytime I attempt to single step through any program, I receive
the following message. After pressing continue all is well until next
time.

Assertion Failure "(!" SymTab32::ToggleProtect VirtualQueryEX
failed")" in ..\win32.src\proc32.cpp line 2583. Continue ?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
